Florida Exemption Notes

The main set of exemptions for Florida are found in Sections 222.01, 222.22, 222.25 and 222.11 and 222.201 of the Florida Statues Annotated

Florida exemption law is notable because of its unlimited homestead exemption.

But Florida's personal property exemptions are less generous than the federal exemptions, which are also available in Florida.

The $1,000 exemption for motor vehicles is one of the lowest in the nation.

Thus, the Federal exemptions will probably offer more protection unless you own a home.
