Wyoming Exemption Notes

Wyoming Homestead Exemption Increased to $100,000 in 2023

Wyoming residents got a five fold increase in their homestead exemption in 2023. The Wyoming legislature passed House Bill 0174 to increase the homestead amount from $20,000 to $100,000, effective July 1, 2023.

The only other recent change in Wyoming exemption law was in 2016: added an exemption for up to 3 firearms worth up to $3,000 in aggregate, and 1,000 rounds of ammo per firearm.
