It's not too late to sign up for 2021 health coverage under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Connecticut has reopened health plan enrollment until October 31, 2021.
For 2022 health plans, Connecticut open enrollment runs from November 1, 2021 until December 15, 2021. This open enrollment period is one month shorter than most other states; you may want to check to see if the state has extended the open enrollment period since this article was published.
To get covered, you can go directly to the online health insurance marketplace for Connecticut. If you need personalized help, you can reach out to an enrollment assistant. Most enrollment helpers are working remotely during the COVID crisis.
Where's the Connecticut Health Care Exchange?

Getting Personalized Help with Enrollment
In Connecticut, if you need help understanding your options for coverage under Obamacare or signing up for a plan, you can get free assistance from a certified application counselor or from a licensed health insurance agent or broker.
An application counselor can explain your options, answer your questions, and help you apply for the plan you choose -- but they can't recommend a specific plan for you.
To find a Connecticut certified application counselor or broker, use the Assistance Search Form at Access Health CT. From there you can enter your location to find helpers near you.
Private insurance agents or brokers can also help you understand your health care coverage options under Obamacare. Unlike government-trained assistants, they are allowed to suggest the best plan for you.
Talk to a licensed broker. To directly connect with a Connecticut insurance broker who can help you evaluate insurance plans and choose a plan that's appropriate for your situation, call 800-943-6832. (We receive advertising income from the licensed brokers who offer their services through this telephone number.)
