There has been much discussion about whether votes in this next election will be counted securely.

Every state has rules about what poll observers can do at the polls and how votes can be challenged. Here are the rules for your state:

Hawaii Each qualified political party shall be entitled to appoint no more than one watcher who may be present at any time in each precinct and absentee polling place in which the candidates of that political party are on the ballot. All watchers so appointed shall be registered voters. (Haw. Rev. Stat. § 11-77).

Any voter rightfully in a voter service center may challenge the right to vote of any person who comes to the voter service center for voting purposes. The challenge shall be on the grounds that the voter is not the person the voter alleges to be, or that the voter is not entitled to vote. (Haw. Rev. Stat. § 11-25).
